Wilson Pickett R.I.P.
Wilson Pickett remembered - 21sth January 17.00-19.00, RG, Vaaghuyzen
There was a peculiar after-party atmosphere, with people willing to dance but for some physical co-ordination did not work properly anymore, and the strange request: "Don't you do techno?" This was provided immediately at 19.00h. We forgot our headphone, but most of the times it worked out well.
No time for sobbing - the techno was starting already...
Thanks to Backbeat Records and Carmsgroup who provided some of the chooons...
Still fighting the law - remembering Buddy Holly

18 maart 2006 - 1979-1995
VAAGHUYZEN ROB G. 18 March 2006: Anniversary waltz
A strange experience - playing out the records you spun as new on the radio, at the time...
The set was inspired by the mindless idiocy of a certain radio station that broadcast a top-880 of the eighties. Their eighties are not mine. These are - well in fact the selection runs from 1979 to 1995, about the year I stopped bothering about new Anglo-American music, more or less. Soul music was not the main priority this time. (R.G.)
The anniversary: Lady Godiva being 21 years on radio, RG 27 years, and both for two years now spinnning the platters that matter at Vaaghuyzen...
16.30-17.30
Yes, there is another anniversary too...
18.15-19.30
